Syrups

A syrup is a kind of hot infusion, in which active medicinal properties of plants are extracted through a boiling down process, and then blended with honey or brandy as a preservative.

Methods of Ingestion: Like tinctures, syrups can be taken directly (and are generally more pleasant, taste-wise, than tinctures), or can be blended into water or tea.

General Dosage Recommendation: 1-2 drops per cup of liquid ingested, and it is generally recommended that strong syrups be taken 1-2 daily at most.
